Indian Navy Developments & Discussions

Oh absolutely. Naval Dockyard Mumbai is the most incompetent useless liability of an organization.
The sheer shitfuckery that goes on there is unbelievable. And why the IN is fucking fed up. Theyre moving all platforms of WNC to Karwar, because that dockyard is navy run and uncorrupt.
Shit is so bad that IN literally towed away the incomplete Delhi MLU to Vishakapatnam ND to complete her.

Can you guesstimate why the ship listed to one side? I don't have much knowledge about the architecture of military ships, but as far as I've heard they have high metacentric height which means they should be less susceptible to such incidents.

Fire was hot enough and widespread enough to weaken the hull.
Hull buckled under the superstructure
Water swept in.

Ship was pierside, undercrewed and thus Damage Control was not done, if at all.

Flooding accelerated, and then she tipped over.

why not end this shipyard i think they have caused enough damage already better give the shit to mdl or other reputed yards like lnt/cochin
either ways its good we are not having shortage of hulls many ship would be rolling in next 1-3 year timeline

Vested interests all the way up and down the chain.
Same thing with OFBs and CSD canteens and everything else that is wrong in this fine country of ours.

news dated in april when the brit warships reached india (a video also popped up in which a drunk brit sailor was bitting people in chennai)

Although I want to give them a benefit of doubt, it has happened way to many times and it keep happening again and again.

There was this post on 4chan from a US navy office who narrated that Indian Navy does it work in a juggad manner. Exposed wires was one of the major nitpick. Could it be this was a electrical mishap that led to fire.
These things are mostly happening due to Poor work ethics of Indian workforce, negligence and no adherences to the Protocols and Processes.
Kaamchalau-Jaggadpanti is in full force everywhere.

What are these people gonna do when anti-ship missiles hit their ships?.. Join the Moskva gang perhaps
this blackpiling needs to stop.

Theres a difference between workers onboard a ship and naval personnel onboard a ship.
Between damage control actions by navy sailors and officers and workers who'll run like headless chickens at the slightest sign of trouble.

Heck from INS Andaman to the last Leander that got hit by a container ship, IN has demonstrated excellent warship damage control.
Read Op GodSal (the Hunt type II destroyer of the 70s) for a good idea of just how good the damage control is.

@haldilal as I said, Talwar-class frigade made my GSL took only 3 years to complete. The keel was laid down on 29 January 2021. I don't see a reason why we can't add more order to this class as INS Brahmaputra replacement.
Why not get them to produce more P 17A class FFGs?? Or the dry docks are not large enough for that??

Previously, they had no expertise and experience in building FFG and DDG. Only one shipyard i.e MDL was capable of doing it. Now, GRSE is doing it too. In future we might see GSL also being roped to build frigates.

I thought all the Naval Dockyards are owned by Navy. So who owns and runs the Mumbai dockyard and what about the Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam?
