I think that GE is not immune to the supply problems brought on first by Covid-19. then by the Ukraine war. It may be that F404 supply to India is delayed due toAh yes, they will send more Abhinandans in MiG-21"Bison"Flying Coffins against pigs flying F-16s but they will never induct Tejas in large numbers, now helped by their friends from Washington DC blocking GE engine deliveries so UN Genrols are free of blame.

Which such jhumlas from Air Marshlols, i'm sure in the next few years we will be buying the F-16 and Tejas will be junked just like (((Athos))) killed ATAGS and (((Stryker))) will kill whAp.
The Armenian armed forces are more patriotic towards India than these Imported Army and Imported Air Force gernails.

I am straight away accusing you of doing politics. No, In general Indian law enforcement doesn't have the tools to manage such massive crowds and it was IAF that was pushing this record for limca book of world records.
It's actually lucky that we didn't have any kind of stampede.
> We have some 600 or so fighters; ranging from most advanced Rafale to MiG-21sAs fighter strength dips below 1965 level, Air chief vows to fight with 'whatever we have'
Indian Air Force's combat strength is at a historic low with only 31 squadrons. Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh emphasised adaptation with available assets while pushing for faster LCA production. The decline in force is due to retiring Soviet fighters and delayed replacements. He insisted on...economictimes.indiatimes.com
Import 80 Rafale please and IAF shall swear parity achieved for at least 1 year.> We have some 600 or so fighters; ranging from most advanced Rafale to MiG-21s
> Chinese have some 1,300 or so of just Flankers and Firebirds
> Almost 200 Fagins on top of that
Even if we completely ignore 5th gen fighter or technical intricacies like exponentially bigger support fleet...they outnumber us 2:1 by sheer number
What else can we do except fighting with whatever we have
Yep, that's one thing that worries me the most. We sleep peacefully (i don't understand how) saying that Su-30MKI's are our backbone and we can take on any adversary.> We have some 600 or so fighters; ranging from most advanced Rafale to MiG-21s

What's completely non-existent in terms of indigenous aviation industry? Support platforms.Bhaiyo I have always wondered about this. Maybe your opinions can clear this up.
There is no way Russia will remain even the shell of the defence exporting giant it once used to be. Its biggest casualty will be their fighter jet manufacturers, right ?
I mean except for Iran and Egypt, i haven't heard of any nation saying they'll buy russian planes.
So, i know how peace loving and non-confrontational we are, but cant we aggressively lobby so that we can manufacture more Su-30MKI's and pull something like what china pulled with J-11 and J-16 (not completely copying them without Russia's permission). This can be considered follow on for the MKI fleet and not MRFA ?
Any thoughts or has this been discussed in the past ?

Majority of our heavy lift, both fixed and rotary, is US dependent (C-17, C-130J and CH-47). What's not US based suffers from serious spare parts scarcity (Il-76). We have plans for Tejas Mk-2, Naval one, AMCA but for transport, it's nill. NAL Saras is a saga in itself.
And despite this did we bother buying Embraer when it was dying for someone to take it for just $5 billion?
Imagine local production of C-390. Competing with C-130J in export markets. Imagine the local sales of civilian ERJ or E-Jet family considering the rise in low cost carriers here. And its export too. But perhaps most importantly, imagine all the patents, years of R&D, scientists, TDPs.
We bought 31 Predators for $4 billion.
It was bit of a weird tangent, but I hope you got your answer.
If true, something sensible is being done to mitigate delays in Mk2. India should be able to get these aircraft for next to nothing. Even if only good for spares, they would help keep IAF's Jaguars flying longer.

What's the point of "Ground Attack" Aircraft when IAF has to deal with 200 plus J-20 and 1000 Flanker copies in Air? There is no usage of Ground Attack Aircraft when you don't achieve parity in Air.
Few spare parts to keep the small fleet airworthy. Why keep the small fleet you ask? What's the point of "Ground Attack" Aircraft when IAF has to deal with 200 plus J-20 and 1000 Flanker copies in Air? There is no usage of Ground Attack Aircraft when you don't achieve parity in Air.
